Check the external oil pickup line on the Coronet. I always thought those American Wheels Cragars are ugly but now I look at this picture...I still think they're ugly.
The hot new Dodge at a new lower price...hahaha, nice. Car looks funny this way. Don't know what it is exactly, but it looks low. Wagon is also cool...
The Coronet is ready to go to the RDW (simular to DMV in the US), the authority to get my car checked if it suits Dutch trafic-laws. If it does, I can get my licenceplates! So...I have to make an appointment. You can do that via the internet or phone. But, the central RDW-computer has crashed...No appointment can be made...I hate modern technology when it is against me :-)
I came across Roger Gibson's Restauration site and saw that he restored a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere Superstocker. Now that is not what you see on the picture below. The text says it was raced as Goldfinger in Pennsylvania so a quick Google-search resulted in this:
Could this be the 1964 version of the Goldfinger restored bij Roger Gibson?
Before I got myself into Mopar, I was pretty active in the Volkswagen scene (had a '58 and a '69 Bug, a '58 Panelvan and a '70 Type 3 Fastback). I visited a lot of Volkswagen meets and the all have those huge swapmeets and a great atmosphere. Now that I'm visiting Mopar- and American car meets, there's something missing...Swapmeets. Something that IS a common thing in the US, but overhere, not. That's a shame because parts are hard to get and find at the other side of the pond...That's why I like these pics from Carlise:
This car is (still) for sale in the UK. When I was looking for my early B-body, this was a candidate and, close by (about 1 hour flight across the pond). Ofcourse, I asked for pictures in the first place. Expectations where high because this car was well known and even featured in a magazine. But...it wasn't. The VIN-tag was oversprayed and paint was thick and bad. I had to let this one go...sad, it carries a sweet 440 mill...
Found this one on the ClassicMuscleCars site. This is what the endresult of Marcel's car could be if he desides to keep the original color. To be honest, I don't like this color that much although it makes it less aggressive and so much more of a sleeper. Still a nice set of wheels though...
Today, we finally got the brand new engine running. What a relief. Since we (or should I say I) are somewhat supersticious, we took a picture of Bob Mosher and lit a candle...we should've done that before because it worked...The 383 is alive and it want's to eat gasoline!!
This sunday was A Crazy Sunday at Pascal's and Ted's Six-packspeedshop in Overpelt, Belgium. This means that the shop is open on sunday and there's always something special to see. That's fun ofcourse, but you get to meet some people you don't see on a regular basis and talk mopar. Always fun...and...he had a little surprise:
Hillborn injection...through the scoop. This is real 60's style. Check Mosher's site where you can find a 65 Belv with a blower sticking through the scoop. This is not an error, this is how it was done back in the days. Rad...
Just a nice shot...It's getting harder and harder every day to find nice material to post. Search-queries in Google often result in pictures of my own blog...
