Mirrored

On the 65 Dodge 2dr sedan, the left outside mirror was an option. Mine isn't equiped with one, but Dutch law forced me to mount one. To be honest, I don't like the correct dual post mirrors. So, I looked at some pictures of Bob Mosher's cars, and they are equiped with non-original mirrors, which, I like! It looks period-correct to me...hell it even looks stock! Here's an example of an original, dual post mirror.

Now Casey found one of these on ePay. Looks pretty much like the one Mosher uses. I think i'll order one...

Statutory Grape wanted

Not only is Statutory Grape the first name that was used for the purple color (later it became Plum Crazy or InViolet) but it's also a car. The previous owner posted a message on 62to65mopar.ornocar.com if anyone knows more about this car. Check out his message:

Silver bullit?

Got this picture through Casey (thanks). I think the color suits the car very well. Also, check out the movie that comes with it.

Casey's 1965 Dodge

This is Casey's 1965 Dodge. It carries the original paint and is a genuine W11 car that was raced in the 60's. The frame is already connected so the car is practically ready to carry the stroked 400 with the STR-15 Crossram...practically...This car shouts A990...Rad...

This hardtop was first owned by Casey. I like the stance f the car.

Jens' 1965 Plymouth Belvedere I

Here's one you got to see. My good friend Jens' timemachine...oh man, this is such a nice car. It carries 80% of its original paint. In the valiant lies a /6...purring...No, this is not going to be a Superstock klone. That would almost be a sin...I will see this car in person soon...I hope.

Spaced-out Mopar?

Yeah I know, this is not an early b, but when it comes to use of supreme horsepower, this is it. Man do I want to see this for real once in my life...I love hemi's and max wedges, but this...Try fitting a Solid Rocket Booster in your Dart...there's no stopping.

1964 Dodge Hemi Superstock

I totally forgot where I found this. It's very hard to find 64-stuff for some reason. There must be some kind of a "mopar-vacuum" or something like that for that year or I wasn't paying attention in my Mopar-history classes...besides of that, this is a nice set of wheels. I think this is my favorite color...yeah...it is:

* there was an image here of a sign that said: "one of few...blah blah". I removed it...because, it doesn't add up with the beauty of the car. It just doesn't matter... *

Trunkscoop

Funny...factory light-weight cars with aluminium front where equiped with functional hoodscoops. They came standard with the car, but if you ordered a steel nose superstock car, it also came with a hoodscoop...in the trunk. You'd have to install it yourself. I tried to figure out why a steel nose car wasn't equiped with a hoodscoop because the engine underneath the hood, still needs the same amount of air. Wacky Chrysler engineers...

Should have...

Even before I decided to sell my Roadrunner (that was august 2007), I was wandering on eBay and came across this 1965 Belvedere I. I believe it carried a 383 and was sold back then for about $15K or so, I'm not sure. All I can remember that for the time, it was a cheap deal and a very, very nice car. Wonder where it went...

Tire sizes

My Dodge now carries some Draglites. I like the original look better so I asked Bob Mosher which tire and rim sizes he used on the Coronet shown on the picture below. Here's what he said:

"In the front we run a b f Goodrich 7 /10 /15 on I guess you would run a 4.5 by 15 inch torque thrust wheel , on the back of a non tubbed car an 8 inch wide steel wheel with 4 inch negative offset with an American racer tire L 60 15. that is the basic set up . the bf Goodrich comes from coker tire, the American racer we get from local speed shop .hope that helps you .bob mosher "

1965 Blown monster

During one of my visits at Bob Mosher's, we talked about this 1965 Belvedere I. It has a blown 426cui engine with the blower sticking through the hoodscoop. No, this is not "redneck" style, this is correct for the period. Car supposed to have about 1500bhp...to bad it's just a exhibition piece (yes...realy it is)...

1963 Savoy project: part 3

We're working on the body trying to remove the paint. While working in the engine bay, we discovered a marking on the right inner fender saying "Peebles". Now the Savoy has a name...A little research discovered that this could've been a car for a Plymouth dealer in Peebles, OH (located at the Dodge City road today).

Euhm...

How am I going to justify this picture...This is my good friend Marcel, my Mopar-buddy, "shifting" through gears with a genuine Hurst shifter, "behind" the (screen-)wheel of 63 Dodge...wearing a helmet. Euhm...Yes, there are pistons next to the monitor. Are we mopar-enthusiast or what!

1963 Dodge 440

The largest Moparmeet in the neighbourhood is the one in Datteln, Germany. Last year, my eye felt on this beautifull restored 1963 Dodge 440. It carries a wide 318. I talked quite a while with the owner and he even let me sit in so I could enjoy the interior...Nice, very nice:

Aluminium

I found this door on a classifieds site somewhere. It's an original aluminium door with fiberglass windows. Asking price as $5500 I believe...
