Mirror mirror on the door

While Marcel and Antoon where working on the K-member, I was trying to figure out how to mount some aftermarket mirrors. Red came without mirrors but Dutch regulations say there has to be at least one mirror on the driverside. The last thing I want is punch some holes in the original sheetmetal so we figured out this is one way of mounting the mirrors. Not the prettiest but the most effective...

A pair of these arrived with the mail today. They will look great on the Dodge. Quality is...well...fair enough. They're just mirrors...

On the 65 Dodge 2dr sedan, the left outside mirror was an option. Mine isn't equiped with one, but Dutch law forced me to mount one. To be honest, I don't like the correct dual post mirrors. So, I looked at some pictures of Bob Mosher's cars, and they are equiped with non-original mirrors, which, I like! It looks period-correct to me...hell it even looks stock! Here's an example of an original, dual post mirror.



Now Casey found one of these on ePay. Looks pretty much like the one Mosher uses. I think i'll order one...
