Mirror

A pair of these arrived with the mail today. They will look great on the Dodge. Quality is...well...fair enough. They're just mirrors...

4 speed galore

The Dodge will recieve a 4 speed transmission sometime. Well...the car hasn't arrived yet but I have some 4 speed stuff laying around (and some 3 speed stuff too). Since the Dodge has a 4:10 ratio, it might be wise to put in a overdrive transmission. The one on the picture has a broken aluminium housing so we're going to trade that for a steel one.

The steel (top) and aluminium housing

The overdrive internals (coming from the aluminium housing)

4 speed parts party

I don't know why Blogspot rotates the pictures...Is it contaminated with a Microsoft Virus? Stupid...

Can you say: gear-box

4speed fun

The "new" shifter has to be tested so...we taped it to the Suzuki Alto's shifter. It actually worked pretty well...hahhaa

Got it

My good friend Antoon bought this shifter maybe 5 years ago or so. Back then, we didn't know what the application was and so it was put away. Now we know better and...it's mine...

The boat story

What's happening on a big cargo freighter while your car is on it's way to Europe? Well, that was one big black hole for me until I found this site. It's a nice story about what's happening on a Maersk freighter, simular to the ship my car was transported with:

Yesterday, the container with the Coronet has been discharged at the Rotterdam harbor. Let's pray for a quick phonecall from my transport agent...

A990

Funny...if you do some research, it turns out that my Coronet has quite a bunch of brothers and sisters...I found this one (together with another one) on CarsOnLine.

1965 Dodge Coronet 550

When you're into American cars and have some friends who are interested in the same incurable disease, you get to know stuff. So, a friend of mine was picking up his ride and gave me a call that "my car" was there too. Well...not exactly but almost:

I haven't got a clue who's car this is but I like it (accept for the wheels then).
